Tim Davis is Vice Chair of the Business Department and a member of the firm's Executive Committee. 

He is a Partner in the Real Estate and Finance practice groups. Tim has over 25 years of experience representing investment funds, insurance companies and banks.

Tim represents clients in a wide variety of real estate finance transactions, including first mortgage loans, participations, mezzanine loans, "B" notes and preferred equity investments. He has extensive experience in the areas of intercreditor, co-lender and participation agreements. He also regularly represents institutional clients in the acquisition and disposition of commercial properties. 

Tim is a frequent moderator and panelist at real estate finance industry conferences.

  • Representation of life insurance company in origination of a $48 million mortgage loan relating to multi-family complex, inclusive of intercreditor negotiations with German pension fund
  • Representation of investment fund in origination of $27 million mortgage loan relating to multi-family and retail complex with numerous real estate complexities
  • Representation of investment funds in origination of $35 million mortgage loan and $10 million mezzanine loan financings of hotels located in multiple states
  • Representation of life insurance company in origination of $30 million mezzanine loan relating to Class A office building
  • Representation of life insurance company in origination of $38 million mezzanine loan relating to Class A office building
  • Representation of investment fund in origination of a $6.4M mezzanine multi-family construction loan
  • Representation of investment fund in origination of $15 million mortgage loan financing of acquisition of senior assisted living facility out of bankruptcy

Recognition & Involvement

In 2017, Tim was elected by his peers as a Fellow in the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, a prestigious national invitation-only organization formed to establish an integrated group of lawyers in each state who are highly skilled in real estate lending and related practices.

Tim was recognized by "Best Lawyers in America" in 2016, 2017 and 2018 for his real estate practice. He is also AV® Preeminent rated by the Martindale-Hubbell peer review rating system.
