White and Williams Announces 15 Lawyer Promotions

White and Williams is pleased to announce that Adam Berardi, Robert Caplan, Joshua Gajer, Jason Kim, Bridget La Rosa, George Morrison, Craig O’Neill, Mark Paladino, Gus Sara, Lian Skaf and James Vandermark have been elected to the firm partnership. Rebecca Foley, Lindsey Imbrogno, Timothy Keough and Russell Lieberman are promoted from associate to counsel. These accomplished lawyers make significant contributions to the firm and their respective practices, resulting in their well-earned promotions.

Adam Berardi practices out of the Philadelphia office and represents major national and international insurance companies in coverage disputes and complex commercial litigation. His practice focuses primarily on resolution of coverage claims for long-tail liabilities involving environmental cleanups, mass tort and product liability. Adam earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.

Robert Caplan leads the Subrogation Group's Workers' Compensation practice and is resident in the Philadelphia office. He has extensive experience recovering workers' compensation subrogation liens for insurance companies and large self-insured companies in addition to litigating complex personal injury cases on behalf of injured workers. He graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Joshua Gajer is an experienced litigator who focuses his practice on complex matters, including medical malpractice litigation and general liability matters as well as white collar criminal defense and internal investigations. Prior to joining the firm, Josh worked as a criminal prosecutor at the Miami-Dade Office of the State Attorney. He resides in the Philadelphia office and earned his J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.

Jason Kim is based in the New York City office, where he focuses his practice on real estate and finance transactions. He advises clients on matters involving real estate financing (including mortgage, mezzanine and preferred equity transactions), acquisitions and dispositions, development, leasing, and loan workouts and restructurings. Jason earned his J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law.

Bridget La Rosa practices out of the Stamford office, where she co-chairs the Tax and Estates group. She focuses her practice on sophisticated estate and tax planning, wealth transfer and estate and trust administration. Bridget is a graduate of Brooklyn Law School.

George Morrison is a civil rights and higher education law attorney. He advises colleges and universities on issues related to faculty and student procedural due process rights, contracts and compliance with federal and state laws and also counsels employers on a range of labor and employment issues. He is based out of the Lehigh Valley office and is a graduate of Widener University School of Law.

Craig O’Neill has a broad range of experience in construction and surety law, complex insurance coverage and general commercial litigation. He has over 20 years of experience litigating matters within the construction industry in both state and federal court. Craig also advises owners and contractors regarding construction contracting matters. He resides in the Philadelphia office and earned his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.

Mark Paladino defends large personal injury actions on behalf of a wide range of clients including energy companies, waste disposal companies, motor vehicle carriers, and premises owners, as well as a variety of complex matters, including life, health and disability insurance, coverage claims, bad faith and extra-contractual damages claims. He practices out of the Philadelphia office and graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Gus Sara is based in the Philadelphia office and practices exclusively in the field of insurance subrogation, handling large property loss cases. He has successfully resolved hundreds of cases for his clients in matters involving commercial and residential fires, explosions, structural collapses, water losses, product liability, construction defects and maritime claims. Gus earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Camden.

Lian Skaf practices in the field of property subrogation out of the Philadelphia office. He handles major property losses involving fires, water leaks, structural damage, product and construction defects and other catastrophic failures. Lian earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Camden.

James Vandermark advises clients facing financial challenges on the full spectrum of restructuring solutions, including complex business transactions, contract negotiations, financial restructurings, out-of-court workouts, deed in lieu of foreclosures, receiverships, commercial foreclosures and Chapter 11 reorganizations. He practices out of the Philadelphia office and is a graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law.

Rebecca Foley is based in the Philadelphia office where she is a member of the Healthcare group. She has more than 20 years of medical malpractice experience, defending complex medical malpractice actions. Rebecca earned her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.

Lindsey Imbrogno defends physicians, nurses, hospitals and other healthcare providers in medical malpractice cases and Delaware Medical Board credentialing matters. She also defends insurance companies in bad faith lawsuits. Lindsey is based in the firm’s Wilmington office and graduated from Widener University School of Law.

Timothy Keough focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, including product liability, toxic torts and general litigation, representing manufacturers, distributors, retailers, premises owners, and insurers. He practices out of the Boston and Rhode Island offices. Timothy earned his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School.

Russell Lieberman is based in the Philadelphia office and is a member of the Healthcare group. He defends doctors, physicians assistants, nurses and hospitals in medical malpractice matters, as well as handles general liability matters. Russell earned his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Camden.
