Bridget La Rosa focuses her practice on estate and tax planning, wealth transfer and estate and trust administration for New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvania residents.
She has extensive experience with the administration of complicated estates, including tax audits with the IRS and dealings with the Art Advisory Panel. She has successfully defended against objections to probate, handled construction, decanting and judicial accounting proceedings, removal and appointment of fiduciaries and has experience with the Charities Bureau of the Attorney General’s Office and various Surrogate’s Courts. Bridget has also long advised families and fiduciaries on commercial lease negotiations and residential real estate transactions, including their complexities and practicalities during estate administration.
Bridget has both big and small firm experience, dealing with multi-generational families and the entities that they own. She is a seasoned trust and estate lawyer, working with clients to develop creative solutions to their problems, while also anticipating their needs and focusing on their short and long term goals.
Recognition & Involvement
From 2016 - 2020, Bridget was selected to the New York Metro Region Super Lawyers list in the area of Estate Planning & Probate.
She was the recipient of the City Bar Justice Center’s 2017 Jeremy G. Epstein Award for Pro Bono Service. Bridget has served on the Association of the Bar of the City of New York’s Trusts, Estates and Surrogate’s Court Committee, Estate and Gift Taxation Committee and is a panel member and volunteer of the Justice Center’s Planning and Estates Law Project (PELP). She is also a member of the Estate Planning Councils of Lower Fairfield County and New York City and has served on the American Heart Association's NYC Heart Advisory Council since 2004.
