Currently Senior Relationship Manager with Wilmington Trust Company
Clark was a Summer Associate with the firm before joining the Real Estate and Finance Groups in 2004. After six years he joined Wilmington Trust's Wealth Advisory Department.
Q: Tell us a little about your current position.
A: I am a senior relationship manager within Wilmington Trust Company’s wealth advisory department. I oversee all aspects of a client’s relationship with the company. Our clients are either business entrepreneurs who are planning to pass their wealth on to the next generation or members of wealthy families who have inherited their wealth. My typical client has $10 million or more in investable assets, not including real estate. They all have their own unique issues and questions.
Q: How did your time at White and Williams help prepare you for this role?
A: My time at White and Williams taught me to apply myself to my role and duties with care and thoroughness. By paying attention to the details and caring about one’s work and clients, great results can be achieved. I also learned to return a phone call from a client no matter what and that it is alright to tell the other party on the phone that while you may not know the answer, you will shortly.
Q: Who were some of your mentors at White and Williams?
Q: What is your favorite memory from your time at White and Williams?
A: My summer associate experience was really a great time. I also remember when Joe Foster took me and the other first year associates down to the federal courthouse to be admitted to the Eastern District by a White and Williams’ alum who was on the bench there.
Q: What do you do when not working?
A: Chase my 2 ½ year old son around the yard and try to get my 6 month old daughter to crawl.
Q: How do you give back to the community?
A: Giving to the community for me right now means raising my children to be good citizens and responsible for themselves and others. As they get older I will have more time to participate in charity work.
