The American Hospital Association’s (AHA) Center for Health Innovation has released a report containing information and insights on the emergence of telehealth technologies in patient care. The report, Telehealth: A Path to Virtual Integrated Care, is based on data from healthcare leaders and experts, as well as surveys of providers and research articles. As explained by the AHA, “the report examines the flexibility of delivery platforms and how they fit into integrated care; why telehealth is critical to health care transformation; the state of telehealth and opportunities for growth in hospitals; and, most importantly, how providers can build capacity to expand access, improve outcomes and reduce costs.”

Telehealth will be just one of the topics explored at White and Williams’ MEDx Talks 2019, at World Café Live on April 30th in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. John McIlwaine, a critical care physician at Geisinger Medical Center, will present on the integration of eICU technology, and the opportunities and challenges inherent in treating the sickest of the sick patients by leveraging electronic tools and monitoring. Learn more about this and other presentations at this year’s MEDx Talks 2019.
