Arthur Murphy is an Associate in the General Litigation practice of White and Williams. He principally practices in the areas of catastrophic and excess liability, premises liability, products liability, and professional malpractice. Arthur possesses practical litigation experience that informs his methods as a litigator and secures the best possible outcomes for his clients.
When he first graduated from law school Arthur clerked for the Hon. Steven J. Polansky, P.J.Cv. While clerking for Judge Polansky, Arthur had the opportunity to observe the litigation process from a neutral perspective and to observe what arguments and methods best advance a client’s position in Court. After his clerkship, he then went briefly into public service, serving as a Deputy Counsel in the Office of Legislative Services for the New Jersey Legislature. In this role he performed legal and policy research for State legislators and drafted legislation. Realizing his desire to litigate, Arthur then went on to gain experience at a law firm that specialized in long-term care malpractice litigation. Acting as an advocate for his clients, Arthur mediated several cases to resolution, engaged in pre-trial discovery, and engaged in motion practice before State trial and appellate courts.
