White and Williams Receives 2021 Pro Bono Award from the Philadelphia Bar Foundation

Philadelphia, PA

White and Williams is honored to be the recipient of the Philadelphia Bar Foundation’s 2021 Pro Bono Award. The firm was recognized at the Bar Foundation's Access to Justice Awards Benefit on November 9. Partner and Chair Emeritus Patti Santelle, alongside Partners Nancy Frantz, Pete Mooney and Wes Payne, accepted the award on behalf of the firm. Video of the award presentation is available here.

First presented in 2003, the award is given annually to a Philadelphia law firm or corporate legal department that performs outstanding volunteer efforts in providing legal services to those in need.

“This is a tremendous honor for the firm,” said Wes Payne, Co-Chair of the firm’s Pro Bono and Community Service Committee. “It’s a privilege to be able to do this work and we thank the Homeless Advocacy Project, Support Center for Child Advocates, Philadelphia VIP and Chubb’s Pro Bono Committee for the nomination.”

White and Williams has a long, proud history of providing pro bono services with lawyers, paralegals and staff devoting thousands of hours of legal service and resources annually to individuals and non-profit organizations, for a variety of causes, including access to public benefits, asylum, child advocacy, civil rights, homelessness, international human rights, landlord-tenant matters, senior citizens’ rights, special education and veterans' affairs.

“I could not be prouder of our firm than I am today,” said Andy Susko, Managing Partner of the firm. “Demonstrating commitment to our communities and to promoting access to justice. This is what makes White and Williams a special place.”
