The Philadelphia Bar Association celebrates Law Week 2017 from May 1-5 in honor of the rights and benefits bestowed upon all citizens through the U.S. Constitution. The Young Lawyers Division of the Philadelphia Bar coordinates numerous programs presented at area schools and throughout the community to celebrate the American legal system.

On Monday, May 1st, associates Gus Sara and Lian Skaf spoke to students at James G. Blaine Academy Plus, and Geoff Sasso spoke at Freire Charter School, as part of the Lawyer in the Classroom program. Associates Michael DeBona and Natalie Molz, accompanied by Partner David Haase, also visited Roman Catholic High School with the program. Associate Jason Poore serves as Co-Chair of the Lawyer in the Classroom program.

Another group of White and Williams lawyers volunteered on Thursday, May 4th for Legal Advice Live!, which provides free, in-person confidential legal advice on a broad range of topics, including personal injury, landlord/tenant law, divorce and child custody matters, wills and estate planning, and employment law. The group visited the Haverford Branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia where they met with members of the community.
