Higher Education Chair and Partner, Nancy Conrad, serves as a course planner and the moderator for a Title IX panel at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute's (PBI) "Sexual Misconduct Claims on the College Campus" program in Philadelphia, PA on February 7, 2020. Nancy's panel will provide an analysis and overview of the history of Title IX actions, the current state of such actions and what the newly developing regulations could mean for such actions in the future. Joining Nancy are panelists Samantha Harris, Esq., Vice President for Procedural Advocacy for the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education and Frank A. The program, sponsored by the PBA Civil and Equal Rights Committee and the PBA Women in the Profession Commission, will also feature a discussion about the various issues that may arise when sexual assault claims are made on campus with insight about the perspective of the four main interest groups involved - the Complainant, the Respondent, the University and the Title IX Coordinator. Presenters and attendees will identify ethical issues involving due process, issues of confidentiality and the handling of disciplinary actions.
