Per- and polyfluoroalkyl (“PFAS”) substances, also known as “forever chemicals,” are generating significant concerns related to their potential impact on human health and the environment. Understanding the severity potential of these chemicals is a newly emerging initiative and this session will provide an overview of: what the substances are, their potential harms, and exposure pathways; the related regulatory framework; litigation to date and what is anticipated; and the coverage issues expected to arise.
