OVERVIEW
Timothy Langan is Counsel in the Commercial Litigation Department and a member of the Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith practice group. Having litigated both defense and coverage matters, in addition to having managed claims and litigation in-house for an insurer, Tim has a unique perspective and a well-rounded approach, allowing him to anticipate the needs of his clients while drawing from broad experience within the insurance industry to efficiently achieve results.
Tim has represented insurance companies nationally in all aspects of the coverage process, from initial coverage determinations through litigation. Tim has a diverse coverage practice including claims and litigation involving construction defect, risk transfer/additional insured disputes, bad faith, toxic tort and professional liability.
He has also served as defense counsel in both New York and New Jersey State Court for matters involving construction accidents and New York Labor Law, construction defect, premises liability, auto collision and medical malpractice.
During his time in-house, Tim managed general liability claims and litigation for an insurer providing liability and property coverage to the energy industry.
In addition to his litigation practice, Tim has provided clients outside of the insurance industry with insurance advisory services, as well as contract drafting and negotiation.
