White And Williams Obtains Pre-Suit Settlement In Dehumidifier Fire Case

In May of 2014, a fire destroyed a large home in Ellicott City, Maryland. White and Williams LLP’s investigators identified a Chinese-manufactured dehumidifier as the point of origin. After investigators identified the defect in the dehumidifier, Karon Martin, a partner in the Subrogation Department, aggressively pursued the manufacturer and was able to secure a pre-suit settlement of the claim for a figure in the high six figures.
