PBA President Charles Eppolito Speaks on the State of the First Amendment
On Wednesday, October 10, seniors from Parkland High School in Allentown, PA participated in the live taping of First Amendment, a forum created in conjunction with the Freedom Forum Institute, Muhlenberg College, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and PBS-39.
The first-of-its-kind forum challenges notions about the First Amendment and unveils insights based on the findings of a national survey conducted by the Freedom Forum Institute and a companion survey by Muhlenberg College of 800 seniors from Parkland.
Partner and Pennsylvania Bar Association president Charles Eppolito said the event is well-timed and its mission is to bolster civic education. "We're celebrating the 230th anniversary of the U.S. Constitution and the 50th anniversary of the Pennsylvania Constitution. This forum will help students understand the cornerstone of our democracy."
The forum will be aired on PBS39 on October 24.
