PHILADELPHIA – Nancy Conrad, Lehigh Valley Office Managing Partner, White and Williams, has been elected as the President of the Bar Association of Lehigh County (BALC) effective January 19, 2023. The gavel was passed to Nancy at the Bar Association’s Annual Dinner.

As part of her commitment to the community, Nancy is involved in numerous professional and community organizations. She serves as Vice President of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is active with the Labor and Employment and Civil Litigation Sections, the Federal Practice Committee and the Commission for Women in the Profession. She is also President of the Board of Directors of the Lehigh Valley Women’s 5K Classic and a member of the Grant Committee. She is the recipient of the Anne X. Alpern Award (2019), PBA President's Award (2019) and was awarded the PBA President’s Award for her leadership with the PBA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Team (2021).

The Lehigh Valley Business Journal recently named Nancy in its 2022 Business Power List as one of the region’s power players.

Nancy Conrad serves as Chair of White and Williams’ Higher Education Practice Group; she represents businesses, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations in workplace disputes, including wrongful discharge, whistleblower and federal and state discrimination claims and provides counsel on workplace issues. She is also Chair of the firm's Women's Initiative.

Since the turn of the century, BALC has provided service and assistance to the area’s lawyers and the community.

The association was officially chartered in 1905 “to advance the science of jurisprudence and the administration of justice, to encourage a thorough legal education, to uphold the honor and dignity of the bar, to cultivate social and professional association among its members, to assist the courts in the orderly and efficient administration of justice and to perpetuate the history of the profession and the memory of its members within this judicial district.”
