James Vandermark Appointed Chair of GALLOP Philly

James Vandermark will serve as Chair of GALLOP, Philadelphia's LGBT Bar Association. His term officially began on March 5, 2019 and continues through January 1, 2020. 

Among his duties as Chair, James will coordinate GALLOP-sponsored events as part of the 2019 Lavender Law Conference and Career Fair, taking place in Philadelphia in August. The conference is presented by the National LGBT Bar Association and Foundation, of which GALLOP is an affiliate.

GALLOP's primary purpose is to advocate for and promote the civil and human rights of LGBTQ+ individuals; to improve access to LGBTQ+ attorneys; and to improve the business opportunities, advancement and employment of LGBTQ+ attorneys. GALLOP also promotes the welfare of society by advocating for civil and human rights of all persons, regardless of race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity or national origin.

James is an Associate in the Financial Restructuring and Bankruptcy and Tax and Estates Groups. He represents a variety of businesses, including financial institutions, corporations, insurance companies and government entities in commercial and consumer bankruptcy cases as well as complex state and local tax matters.
