International Group Presents on the Evolution of CFIUS
On October 7, Gary Biehn, Chair of the International Group, and Gwenn Barney, presented to Temple Law’s International Law Society on the evolution of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS). The virtual presentation included an overview of changes to CFIUS’s review of foreign investment in the United States following the passage of the Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act (FIRRMA) in 2018, and a case study in a CFIUS review through the lens of the recent TikTok/ByteDance deal unwinding.
