OVERVIEW
Darren N. Levin is an Associate in the Business Department and a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Finance Practice Group. Darren focuses his practice on complex commercial real estate transactions. He represents developers, financial institutions, lenders and borrowers in matters involving construction and permanent financing, development and project finance.
Darren advises clients throughout the lifecycle of a transaction, from initial due diligence and document negotiation through closing. He is experienced in commercial real estate collateral-based financing transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, leaseback transactions and mortgage refinancings across the media and entertainment, energy, retail and industrial sectors.
Darren has extensive experience drafting loan, mortgage, security, guaranty, pledge and control agreements, as well as leasehold mortgages, commercial leases, assignments of leases and rents, and SNDA agreements. His experience also includes preparing operating agreements, resolutions, consents, officer’s certificates, opinions and other transaction and closing documents, and conducting title and survey review.
Prior to joining the firm, Darren was an associate at a national law firm.

- A limited liability company’s construction of an air cargo facility at a major international airport.
- A developer and institutional investor’s joint venture for the development of a motion picture and television production studio.
- A multinational energy company’s development of an offshore wind power project.
