OVERVIEW

Danielle Corbisiero is an Associate in the Commercial Litigation practice with the firm. Prior to joining the firm, Danielle defended insurance carriers in the areas of Fraud/Special Investigation, primarily evaluating for medical provider fraud and intentional/staged losses. She also has experience litigating personal injury protection; premises liability; New York State labor law matters, as well as assist in monitoring primary defense counsel. Danielle is highly regarded for her strategic judgment, as she litigated cases from inception to resolution and counseled clients in alternate dispute resolution where she handled appeals to limit carrier exposure to costs.

Danielle was accepted into a competitive accelerated program, receiving her juris doctor degree in two and a half years, in December 2018, from Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University. During law school, she took an academic Study Abroad, “Immigration Law and Border Enforcement” in San Diego, California and Tijuana, Mexico. Danielle externed in the Commercial Division, Nassau Supreme Court for Honorable Vito M. DeStefano, and interned for an appellate advocacy and trial litigation strategy firm.

Additionally, Danielle served as a Notes and Comments Editor for the Hofstra Labor & Employment Law Journal. She also was a Certified Mediator, in Hofstra's Center for Separating and Divorcing Parents for matrimonial and family law matters. She graduated law school with a Dean’s List Honor for the Fall of 2018, placing her in the top 15% of that semester, she also dedicated 750+ to pro bono work, obtaining a gold level distinction.

Danielle was published numerous times, including the New York Law Journal and JD Supra. The New York Law Journal published “Rolling the Dice: Does ‘Alleviation’ Alleviate Insurance Carrier Fears?,” on April 21, 2021. Her latest publication with JD Supra on June 1, 2023, was “Scheme to Defraud Insurance Carriers May Leave ‘Runners’ Walking Behind Bars.”  Additional publications by Danielle, include article titled, “Does the Warrantless Utilization of DNA Against a Non-Consenting Third Party Violation the Fourth Amendment,” which was published in the Nassau Lawyer, in November 2018 for the Nassau Bar Association. She also published her Student Note in the Dartmouth Law Journal titled “The Sparks of Corporate Proselytization Ignites Hostile Work Environments and Constructive Discharge Fires,” in Spring 2019.
