Summary Judgment Granted in Favor of University Client in Title VII Discrimination Case

2.21.20

The Eastern District of Pennsylvania granted summary judgment in a Title VII and 42 U.S.C. Section 1981 case. In the matter, a tenured faculty member claimed that she was discriminated against on the basis of race and gender and retaliated against when she was “forced” to lead an academic program and later removed from a director position of another academic program. The Court ruled that no reasonable juror could find that the university discriminated or retaliated against her on the basis of race or gender.

Nancy Conrad represented White and Williams' university client in the matter.
