Aaron's PresentsAaron's Presents serves children in Middlesex and Essex counties in Massachusetts, with a special focus on the Andover, Lawrence and Lowell communities. The organization has three programs: the givers, visionaries and agents of change. The givers and visionaries programs are geared toward elementary and middle school students and are intended to light a spark in children so that they have a desire to give back to their communities. They allow the children to create, develop and complete projects that focus on helping at least one other person or animal in their communities. The agents of change program then builds on the relationship Aaron's Presents has with these children by continuing involvement through their high school years, providing opportunities to develop educational, leadership and social awareness skills so that they become civically engaged adults.

I met the founder of Aaron’s Presents through a United Way event in 2018. Her passion, as well as the organization's mission to shape how youth engage with their communities, captured me. Shortly after this meeting, I was asked to join the Board of Directors for Aaron’s Presents and I am grateful that I did. In my role on the Board, I fundraise, oversee the direction of the organization, provide legal advice and assist in maintaining and growing the organization.

I also represent Aaron's Presents on a pro bono basis. In this role, I provide counsel, draft and review contracts and ensure legal compliance. I am grateful for being a part of Aaron’s Presents because most of us have had a helping hand at one time or another. Being involved with the organization allows me to pay it forward by providing a helping hand to others. Plus, it is just the right thing to do.
