Mr. Cottone is a partner in the Litigation Department. He focuses on medical professional liability, personal and long term care, insurance fraud and disability, and general defense litigation.  Mr. Cottone has served as lead trial counsel in State and Federal Courts.

Mr. Cottone received his B.A. from the University of Delaware in 1990 and his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law in 1994, where he was elected to the Woolsack Honor Society. Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, Mr. Cottone is also admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Philadelphia Bar Association and Philadelphia Association of Defense Counsel.  Since 2007, Mr. Cottone has been the co-Chair of Medical Legal Committee of the Philadelphia Bar Association - State Civil Litigation Section.  Mr. Cottone is a Fellow of the Academy of Trial Advocacy.  In 2005 and 2006, he was named in a survey of his peers as a Pennsylvania "Rising Star" attorney by Law & Politics magazine. Also, in 2007, 2008 and 2009, Mr. Cottone was selected as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine.
