White and Williams Announces the Election of Five Lawyers to the Partnership and the Promotion of Five Associates to Counsel

White and Williams is proud to announce that Meredith Bieber, Eric Hermanson, Timothy Martin, Brian Tetro and Debra Weinrich have been elected to the partnership. The firm has also promoted Alan Charkey, Michael DiFebbo, William Doerler, Justin Fortescue and Stephen Milewski from associate to counsel.

The newly elected partners and promoted counsel represent the wide array of practices that White and Williams offers its clients, including construction, finance, healthcare, insurance coverage, product liability, real estate, reinsurance, and subrogation. These accomplished lawyers have earned this elevation based on their contributions to the firm and their practices.

Meredith Bieber is a member of the Real Estate and Finance groups, resident in the Philadelphia office. She represents her clients in transactions involving real estate finance, including the origination and modification of mortgage loans, syndicated mortgage loans, construction loans and loans involving layers of public financing.

Eric Hermanson practices in Boston, where he is a member of the Insurance Coverage, Commercial Litigation, and Bad Faith / Extracontractual Liability groups. He represents primary and excess insurance carriers in complex litigation matters, typically involving significant exposures and unresolved issues of law. In addition, he frequently represents sophisticated institutional clients, including manufacturers, distributors, healthcare providers, publishers, and related entities, in life science, mass tort, and complex contractual disputes.

Timothy Martin is a resident of the Wilmington office where his practice focuses on complex civil litigation including the areas of construction, insurance coverage, toxic tort, product liability and warranty litigation, as well as representation of members of the automobile and racing industries.

Brian Tetro is a member of the Subrogation Department, based in the Philadelphia office. He represents major property and casualty insurers and has litigated numerous complex property loss cases. Tetro is also an experienced trial attorney who has garnered unanimous jury verdicts in both state and federal courts.

Debra Weinrich is a member of the Healthcare group and practices out of the Philadelphia office. She primarily focuses her legal practice in the defense of professional liability claims. Weinrich previously practiced as a registered nurse for nearly ten years, principally in the area of Maternal-Newborn Services, and was certified in inpatient obstetrics.

Alan Charkey is a member of the Subrogation Department based in the Philadelphia office. He practices exclusively in the area of insurance subrogation and focuses his practice on researching, briefing and handling matters of unusual complexity, including appellate issues and questions of insurance coverage, both for himself and for his colleagues within the department.

Michael DiFebbo is a member of the Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith group, resident in the Philadelphia office. He represents major property and casualty insurance companies in coverage disputes, specializing in disputes involving long-tail liabilities (i.e., asbestos, mass tort and pollution claims).

William Doerler is a member of the Subrogation Department and practices out of the Philadelphia office. He routinely handles subrogation-related construction defect and product liability cases and focuses on handling complex litigation and appeals.

Justin Fortescue is a member of the Reinsurance group, resident in the Philadelphia office. He focuses his practice on reinsurance and commercial litigation matters. Fortescue regularly counsels insurers, reinsurers and other firm clients in complex litigation and arbitration matters.

Stephen Milewski is a trial attorney in the firm’s Healthcare Group practicing out of the Wilmington office. Steve represents hospitals, physicians and other healthcare providers in professional liability, general liability and licensing matters in the state of Delaware.
