Sorvino Comments on General Motors Bankruptcy Judge Appointment

The judge appointed to oversee the bankruptcy proceedings of General Motors Corporation (GM) has a reputation for being thoughtful and thorough, and definitely not hasty, in his approach from the bench. Judge Robert Gerber now has the task of overseeing the high-speed restructuring of the nation's biggest automaker, which is pursuing a plan to give taxpayers a 60 percent equity stake in a leaner GM. "He brings a very steady hand," Heidi Sorvino said.
