Platte B. Moring, III Receives VERA Award for Volunteer Service
Platte B. Moring, III was a recipient of a VERA Award (Volunteer Excellence Recognition Award) from the nonprofit organization Bpeace, Business Council for Peace for his efforts to promote the advancement of education for businesswomen in Afghanistan. He raised funds for scholarships and transportation costs to bring three Afghan business persons to Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA, to attend the Iaccoca Institute, Global Village of Future Leaders of Business and Industry.
Bpeace is a nonprofit organization based in New York, and founded in 2002. Bpeace operates under the slogan, “Bpeace believes the path to peace is lined with jobs.” And that “More jobs means less violence.”
