David R. Zaslow Honored as "Star of Life" by the Ambulance Association of PA
David R. Zaslow, President of Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lower Merion and Narberth (aka Narberth Ambulance) was honored at the recent “Stars of Life” dinner hosted and sponsored by the Ambulance Association of PA. David was given the award as a “Star of Life” for his exceptional 25 years of volunteer service to the Main Line Community.
David joined the VMSC in 1985 as one of its original “junior members.” He has actively volunteered first as an EMT and then as a paramedic since 9th grade; a commitment which has taken him through high school, college, Temple Law School and through 13 years of practicing law.
David has served in almost every operational and administrative position at the Corps. He has been a chief operational officer for over 13 years and on the Board of Directors for over 11 years. After years serving as Vice President of the organization, he was elected as President of the Board in December 2005.
Even with the awesome responsibility of being the Volunteer President of the VMSC and being a partner in the Litigation Department at the firm of White and Williams LLP, David still finds time every week to be on the duty schedule and to respond to emergencies as an Assistant Chief and paramedic for the community.
