New York Office Networking Event Explores Historic Tenement Museum
White and Williams' New York office welcomed clients to the Tenement Museum for an evening of networking, reflection and refreshments. The museum, located on Manhattan's Lower East side, served as an apartment building housing nearly 7,000 working class immigrants at the turn of the 20th century. Women lawyers and female clients came together to explore this piece of New York City history, reliving the experience of immigrant women. Guided tours provided a glimpse at how immigrants balanced work, family and religion and how human tragedy shaped workplace standards in the U.S.
