White and Williams Renews Office Space at One Liberty Place

2010

Philadelphia - White and Williams LLP renewed its lease with Philadelphia Liberty Place, LP and will remain at One Liberty Place. The decision comes after considering office space at other buildings throughout the city including the Mellon Bank Center, Center Square, Commerce Square, Verizon, and 1650 Arch Street - the former site of the now-dissolved law firm, Wolf Block.

"We have had a long history at One Liberty," said George Hartnett, Managing Partner of White and Williams. "As one of One Liberty's original tenants, we're glad we're staying for another 15 years at one of the premier locations in the city."

White and Williams will continue to occupy floors 15-20 and will utilize 119,000 square feet of space. The firm will be doing a major renovation to make better use of the interior space, and will create a new conference center. The main reception will remain on the 18th floor.

The lease renewal and renovation planning comes amidst the firm's chairman transition announcement in June. At the end of October 2010, George Hartnett will step down from his role as Chair of the Executive Committee and Managing Partner, and will be succeeded by Guy Cellucci.
