We have the ability to handle transactions ranging from acquisition and other permanent mortgage loans to sophisticated construction and development loans. Whether a standard commercial mortgage loan, a construction loan involving intricate development and construction issues, or a multi-state, multi-property transaction involving layers of financing and sophisticated intercreditor issues, we staff  the transaction in a manner that allows clients to achieve their objective of closing a transaction quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively.

Representative Matters

  • Represented national lender in an $184 million commercial/industrial multi-property portfolio loan to a major REIT that included numerous complicated issues in both structuring and for collateral realization
  • Represented a regional construction lender in a complex $55 million university student housing construction project as part of the redevelopment of the core area of the adjacent town which included multiple aspects pertaining to the acquisition of the underlying properties and a long-term lease to the university
  • Represented the Community Lending Division of a national bank in a series of low income housing tax credit transactions
  • Represented an insurance company in multiple mortgage loans in its hotel lending program
  • Represented a regional bank in a $55 million syndicated construction loan involving bond and other financing
  • Represented lender group in the origination, syndication and subsequent restructure of a $130 million mortgage loan for resort development
  • Represented a regional lender with respect to the origination and syndication of construction financing for upscale senior condominiums and clustered homes
  • Represented foreign lender with respect to the origination of a $175 million mortgage loan for an urban office tower, and its subsequent syndication
