Philip Farinella’s practice focuses on representing insured and self-insured companies in matters involving catastrophic loss, product liability and insurance disputes.
Prior to joining the firm, Philip was a law clerk to the Honorable Heidi W. Currier of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division, where he handled civil, criminal, family and administrative appeals, providing him a diverse and complex experience.
While pursuing his JD from Rutgers Law School, Philip was heavily involved both on and off campus. During his third year, he was a legal writing fellow for Professor Sarah E. Ricks’s first-year Legal Analysis, Writing and Research course and a member of the Hunter Moot Court Board.
Philip has interned for the Camden Law Department, the Honorable Jack M. Sabatino, the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Tort Litigation Department, the Honorable Michael A. Shipp, as well as the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
Recognition & Involvement
Philip served as the Executive Editor of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Public Policy. He was a semi-finalist in the Hunter Moot Court oral argument competition and was named winner of the “Best Brief” award in the Hunter Moot Court Appellate Advocacy course.
Further, Philip was awarded a “First Year Legal Writing Award” recognizing his performance and achievement in the Legal Analysis, Writing and Research I and II courses. Lastly, Philip was selected to participate in the Rutgers University Eagleton Fellowship in Politics and Government, an interdisciplinary graduate fellowship in government, public affairs and politics.
