Margo Murphy is an associate in the firm's Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Group. She focuses her practice on the representation of major insurance carriers in matters involving application of policy exclusions and defense of allegations of bad faith.
While at Rutgers, Margo competed in the Philip C. Jessup International Moot Court Competition. She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable John E. Jones, III of the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
Margo is currently active in Philadelphia VIP, which provides quality volunteer legal services for low-income Philadelphians. In May 2017, she was named volunteer of the month.
- Represented manufacturers of alleged asbestos-containing products in toxic tort suits and product liability
- Represented insured individuals and companies in negligence actions
- Successfully argued in Superior Court of Passaic County that co-defendant landlord improperly denied tenant's tender request, despite obligation under the lease to undertake defense for incidents occurring in common areas
