Katherine Todd concentrates her practice on trademark matters, managing both international and domestic trademark portfolios. She counsels clients on the selection of trademarks, as well as the filing, prosecution and maintenance of trademarks. Katherine works with clients ranging from fast-growing startups to international companies in the entertainment, apparel, luxury goods, automotive, and medical industries.

Katherine also handles enforcement issues, including global trademark opposition and cancellation proceedings. She drafts pleadings, discovery documents, motions, and trial briefs in connection with opposition and cancellation proceedings before the USPTO’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and various federal courts. Based on her prior experience as in-house counsel for a video game company, Katherine is adept at identifying risks associated with using marks around the world. She develops cost-effective global filing programs, and uses creative approaches to clear obstacles and obtain rights.

Before joining White and Williams, Katherine worked at a large international firm in New York. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt Law School, where she served as editor in chief of the Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment & Technology Law.
