Dmitriy Gelfand handles a variety of complex commercial disputes involving businesses and individuals. He represents professional liability insurers in coverage and litigation matters including directors and officers liability, and errors and omissions.

Prior to joining White and Williams, Dmitriy served as a Judicial Fellow for the Honorable Claire C. Cecchi in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. As a Judicial Fellow, Dmitriy assisted in the drafting of opinions and orders on various motions including motions to dismiss, motions to transfer venue, and other pre-trial motions. In addition, he researched relevant case law concerning a wide array of subject areas including New Jersey breach of contract, New Jersey consumer fraud, federal debt collection, civil rights, and social security appeals.

While in law school, Dmitriy was part of the Securities Litigation and Arbitration Clinic where he, along with his clinic teammate and supervising professor, filed a statement of claim for a FINRA arbitration involving churning and excessive trading violations. Dmitriy also externed in FINRA’s Office of Fraud Detection and Market Intelligence and the High Court of Ireland. Further, Dmitriy served as an associate editor on the Fordham Journal of Corporate and Financial Law and was the Intraschool Competition Editor of the Brendan Moore Trial Advocacy Center. Additionally, Dmitriy volunteered as part of the Dilley Pro Bono Project helping asylum refugees prepare for credible fear interviews.
