Atusa focuses her practice on the representation of individuals and entities operating in the healthcare, higher education, manufacturing and assisted living industries in a variety of litigation and pre-litigation matters.
Prior to joining White and Williams, Atusa worked at a regional defense firm and handled a variety of employment, professional liability and premises liability claims on behalf of individuals, local governments, and private entities.
During her third year of law school, Atusa interned for the Honorable Jane R. Roth in the United State Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Prior to entering private practice, Atusa served as a judicial fellow for the Honorable Ellen Ceisler in the Court of Common Pleas of Philadelphia County.
Recognition & Involvement
During law school, Atusa was chosen to be a member of the Moot Court Honor Society, and was a semi-finalist in the Moot Court Distinguished Juror Competition. She also participated in the Trial Advocacy Program. Upon graduation, Atusa received a Certificate of Achievement, representing the highest score in the Environmental Law Clinic, and pro bono distinction for having performed over 400+ hours of service.
Atusa is conversationally fluent in Farsi. She has also volunteered as a pro bono attorney for the immigration and naturalization clinic in association with the Philadelphia Bar Association, to help individuals apply for citizenship.
