Alison Russell is an associate in the Litigation Department and maintains a diverse practice, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of cases. She is a member of the Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Group and represents seriously injured individuals in a wide range of areas including products liability, industrial accidents, premises liability accidents, vehicular accidents, and medical malpractice. 

Alison’s practice includes construction defect, asbestos, and healthcare litigation. She represents both owner plaintiffs and construction defendants in construction defect matters involving stucco, brick, stone and other exterior cladding materials, as well as structural defect claims. Similarly, she represents both injured plaintiffs and medical defendants in medical malpractice matters.

Throughout law school, Alison worked as a paralegal in the plaintiff’s group. Her work included the review and analysis of medical records, legal research and motion practice, assisting with mediation and arbitration preparation, and developing case strategies. 

During law school, Alison served as Production Editor of the Environmental Law Journal and participated in the 55th Annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court Competition. She also volunteered for the Pennsylvania Innocence Project and the Bailey Project. She was nominated to the 3L Legacy Committee and is a member of Phi Delta Phi.

Representative Matters

  • Successfully obtained summary judgment on behalf of law firm in a complex legal malpractice case arising from the underlying telecommunications lawsuit
  • Assisted in obtaining multi-million dollar settlement in a case involving the delay of a Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis over the course of many years
  • Assisted in obtaining large settlement during trial in a medical malpractice case involving the delay of treatment of a ruptured valve
  • Successful resolution of product liability claim brought against manufacturers of air compressor
  • Drafted successful summary judgment motion in asbestos lawsuit brought against manufacturer of air compressor

Recognition & Involvement

Alison is a member of the PBA Youth Courts Committee. Youth Courts are student run in-school disciplinary courts that provide restorative punishments as opposed to suspension for minor school infractions. Alison also volunteers for the Homeless Advocacy Project and participates in Legal Advice Live as part of the firm’s pro bono efforts.
