White and Williams Secures a Favorable Settlement in a Superstorm Sandy Case

Lawyers in the subrogation department settled a Superstorm Sandy roof blow-off case in Connecticut. In the Complaint, Partner Deborah Crinigan alleged, among other things, that the roofing contractor was negligent and breached its contract related to replacing the roof of the multi-tenant office building. The subrogating insurer’s insured incurred damages in excess of $900,000. Despite the fact that the defects in the roof were discovered following the hurricane, Ms. Crinigan, assisted by Bill Doerler, was able to secure a favorable settlement of the matter.
