Vince Barbera represents individuals, partnerships and corporate clients in the litigation of business-related disputes in court and through arbitration. 

Vince has gained invaluable experience through his involvement in prosecuting claims and defending clients in a wide variety of commercial litigation matters involving  partnership and shareholder disputes, class action defense, judgment enforcement, defamation claims, property damage and boundary disputes, confessed judgments and collection actions. Vince also represents both cedents and reinsurers in reinsurance disputes and has worked on matters involving the application of follow the settlements doctrine.  The diverse nature of Vince’s work experience and practice provides him with a unique perspective when advising and counseling clients. 

While in law school, Vince was a member of Villanova’s National Trial Team and he competed in the final trial en route to winning the 2008 Lone Star Classic, a national invitational mock trial tournament held in San Antonio, Texas.  He received the Excellence in Litigation Award from the Center for Economic Studies in recognition of his achievements in trial advocacy during law school.  Additionally, Vince served as the Business/Special Projects Editor for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal.  

Vince is currently a member of the Adjunct Faculty at Villanova Law School, where he coaches the National Trial Team.  He also provides legal advice and counsel, pro bono, through Philadelphia Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, which is a non-profit legal services organization that offers legal assistance to artists as well as arts and cultural organizations.

  • Litigated property damage and collection matters on behalf of individuals and corporate entities which resulted in judgments in favor of clients
  • Represented corporate client in challenging a confession of judgment and negotiated and secured a favorable settlement
  • Experienced in the litigation of disputes between partners in limited and general partnerships, and shareholders of professional corporations
