Kim Kocher provides appellate legal services to clients in diverse areas, including medical negligence, products liability, insurance coverage, premises liability and constitutional law. Kim has briefed and argued many appeals in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, New Jersey Supreme Court and United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Her services are not limited to written and oral advocacy in the appellate courts. In cases presenting thorny legal issues or high exposure, Kim becomes involved as early as pre-trial to develop the legal theories and pursue dispositive motions. Always with an eye towards issue preservation during the trial itself, Kim manages motions, practice and interlocutory appeals of critical trial court rulings. Post-trial, Kim then shepherds the case through the complex post-trial and appellate process.
Kim has produced publications, amicus briefs and presentations on subjects including the Daubert/Frye standards, negligent infliction of emotional distress and the fundamentals of appellate practice.
She is Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association's Amicus Curiae Brief Committee.
Before joining White and Williams, Kim clerked for the Honorable Sandra Schultz Newman of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court and the Honorable George T. Kelton of the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania.
