Jamie Maher advises clients with respect to corporate and commercial transactions and general business matters. She structures, negotiates and documents complex business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, employment agreements, and distribution and sale agreements. Her clients have included buyers, sellers, business owners and employees.
Jamie is also a member of the firm's Pro Bono Home Ownership group.
While in law school, Jamie served as Associate Editor of Outside Articles for the Villanova Environmental Law Journal. She also represented low-income taxpayers in disputes with the IRS as a participant in the Villanova Federal Tax Clinic.
Representative Matters
- On-going representation of a distributor of appliances and electronics in negotiating contracts with large, national stores
- Represented a second tier automobile parts manufacturer in the $25M acquisition of a division of a public company including acquisition of real estate in six states and related financing
- Represented client in the data services industry in a $40M business combination
- Counseled financial printing company regarding issues arising from a $30M business combination
Recognition & Involvement
Jamie volunteers with the Committee of Seventy and Philadelphia VIP. She was selected for inclusion in Philadelpha SmartCEO’s 2010 Legal Elite for her work in Business/Corporate law.
