Dan Simnowitz advises domestic and international insurers in connection with complex claims under professional liability policies, including directors and officers liability, errors and omissions, bankers professional liability and fiduciary liability.  Dan also represents insurers in arbitrations and coverage litigation.  Additionally, he provides assistance to professional liability insurers in the development and drafting of new policy forms, endorsements and applications.

• Representing an insurer in coverage litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania involving issues relating to claims aggregation
• Representing an insurer in coverage litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York involving the application of the criminal acts exclusion
• Defended insurer in arbitration involving the “insured v. insured” and the prior litigation exclusion
• Representing insurer as coverage and monitoring counsel in connection with various subprime-related claims under D&O, E&O and Fiduciary policies
• Representing D&O insurers as coverage and monitoring counsel in connection with FCPA-related claims
