Chris Schuyler's practice focuses on business, transactional and finance issues for corporate and insurance industry clients, as well as regulatory counseling for insurers, reinsurers and insurance brokers.
After initial training in banking, project finance, corporate and securities law at Mudge Rose Guthrie Alexander & Ferdon LLP, Chris worked in-house for several years at Pfizer Inc. in a general counseling capacity. Chris returned to private practice in 2000 and focused on securitization, structured finance and other financial transactions at Dewey Ballantine LLP and Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP in New York and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP in London.
Chris was appointed by direct commission to the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1987 and served in the Naval Reserve Intelligence Program until 1995.
During law school, Chris served on the Editorial Board of The Virginia Journal of Law and Politics.
