Christine Kane focuses her practice in the area of complex civil litigation, particularly in the areas of medical malpractice, other professional negligence and personal injury. She routinely represents physicians, hospitals and other healthcare providers throughout Delaware. Christine handles all aspects of litigation for her clients including client counseling, initial case assessment, discovery, motions/oral argument, trial and settlement. In addition, Christine regularly represents and counsels physicians and other professionals in matters before the Division of Professional Regulation.
Prior to joining White and Williams, Christine served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Jan R. Jurden in Delaware Superior Court. She also handled the defense of civil litigation matters in Pennsylvania for several years before the commencement of her practice in Delaware.
Representative Matters
- Defense of physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities in medical cases involving general, cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, pediatric, and emergency room care
- Successful dismissal of lawsuit against medical examiner in action involving medical negligence and spoliation of evidence claims
- Defense of physicians in suits involving death at behavioral health facilities
- Representation of physicians in state administrative investigations involving medical and controlled substance licensure
- Defense of claims against state medical society in class action lawsuit involving investigation and reporting obligations in connection with alleged unprofessional conduct of physician
Recognition & Involvement
In addition to her litigation practice, Christine serves as a Guardian ad litem for the Office of the Child Advocate. She also served on the Board of Canvass for the 2010 Delaware general election.
