Mr. Casarino is a partner in the Business Department.  Focusing on complex business litigation, he has a broad range of experience both prosecuting and defending a variety of business-related disputes.  He represents national and regional insurers in coverage disputes, defends insured clients under third-party liability policies, and litigates insurance professional malpractice claims.  He also represents public and privately held companies with respect to contract disputes, commercial real estate concerns, creditor claims, employment and labor issues, corporate governance, shareholder rights and partnership disputes.

By providing general counsel to several educational institutions, Mr. Casarino has vast experience with respect to the unique legal issues facing schools, colleges and universities, including tenure and promotion considerations, school and campus security concerns, risk and crisis management, and contract and licensing agreements with vendors, sponsors and athletic conferences.

Licensed to practice in Delaware, Mr. Casarino is also admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the District of Delaware and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.  In addition to litigation experience in each of the aforementioned courts, Mr. Casarino represents clients in alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including arbitration, mediation, Delaware Department of Labor hearings and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) proceedings.

Mr. Casarino received his B.S. in Economics from the University of Delaware in 1994 and his J.D. in 1997 from the Widener University School of Law.  He frequently lectures to industry professionals with respect to commercial real estate concerns and debtor-creditor relations.  He has also been a guest business law lecturer for students and faculty at Delaware State University.
