Ms. Kachmar is a partner in the Litigation Department and Chair of the Workers' Compensation Practice Group. She practices exclusively in the area of workers' compensation defense. She works closely with insurance carriers, third party administrators, brokers and employers in not only defending workers' compensation cases, but in regard to loss prevention, safety, employment, union and other issues which relate to workers' compensation. She litigates workers' compensation matters in all jurisdictions of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Kachmar received her B.A., cum laude, from Ursinus College in 1982 and her J.D. in 1985 from the Dickinson School of Law. Licensed to practice in Pennsylvania, Ms. Kachmar is admitted to appear before the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. She is a member of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Berks County Bar Association, the Lehigh County Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, and the Pennsylvania Self-Insurer's Association. Ms. Kachmar has written numerous articles on a variety of workers' compensation topics. She also frequently speaks at seminars relating to workers' compensation issues. Ms. Kachmar was selected in a survey of her peers as a Pennsylvania "Super Lawyer" by Law & Politics magazine in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
