International Business Leaders Gather in Philadelphia

White and Williams Sponsors Global Connections Reception
9.19.17

Bringing the World to Pennsylvania (BTW2PA), formerly called Pennsylvania International Week, was developed to further international business growth for companies looking to sell their goods and services internationally. During BTW2PA, the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia (WTCGP) arranges meetings between export-ready Southeastern Pennsylvania companies and Authorized Trade Representatives to discuss specific market opportunities. As the Regional Export Network representative in Southeastern Pennsylvania, WTCGP organizes this event for the Greater Philadelphia region, supporting the Commonwealth's efforts to grow international trade.

As part of BTW2PA, Global Connections: The Greater Philadelphia International Reception, brings together the international business, academic and diplomatic communities to celebrate Greater Philadelphia as a world-class region and global business destination. White and Williams was a proud sponsor of the reception.

Gary Biehn, Chair of the International Group at White and Williams and Board Chair of the World Trade Center of Greater Philadelphia, introduced Keynote Speaker, Phyllis Yaffe, the Consul General of Canada in New York. Ms. Yaffe spoke about the strong trade relations between Canada and the Philadelphia region, adding that Canada is the United States biggest customer - buying more from the U.S. than China, Japan and the United Kingdom combined.
