5.15.19

Eric Hermanson has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Coverage Counsel (ACCC), a national organization of preeminent lawyers involved in coverage and extra-contractual matters.

The ACCC, established in 2012, is an invitation-only organization focused on the creative, ethical and efficient adjudication of insurance coverage disputes. It is comprised of top attorneys across the United States, representing the interests of both insurers and policyholders.

Eric’s practice focuses on the representation of primary and excess insurers and risk retention groups in high-exposure coverage litigation. Over a 25-year career, he has litigated more than two hundred contested matters, and successfully advised on hundreds more, arising in almost every U.S. state and the District of Columbia. He is particularly skilled in primary-excess disputes and complex coverage matters involving difficult and unresolved issues of law.

In addition to being a Fellow of the ACCC, Eric serves as Chair of the ABA Tort Trial and Insurance Practice Section, Self-Insurers and Risk Management Committee; Vice-Chair of the ABA TIPS Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee; and co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Insurance Subcommittee. He is on the Board of Editors for the International Risk Management Institute CGL Reporter.
